Dear Family,

Elsie was a secretary for my father, David Paschka, for many years. She was his right hand for many years of his career as principal in Albert Lea. I remember going to the office as a small child to see him and Elsie was always so sweet and kind to all of us kids. She always made me smile. I was sad to hear of her passing. My parents were very fond of her. My dad has many great stories of her. She will be missed. I am sorry for your loss. A great woman...

Sincerely,

Amy (Paschka) Henrikson

Dear Family:

I too have fond memories of Elsie. I grew up and went to school at Sibley where she was a secretary under Mr. Paschka. She actually went to bat for me against my kindergarten teacher, she was my hero. I think my teacher made me sit in the coat room for not drinking my milk, which of course I became very upset over. I went down to the office and told Mrs. Paulson and she scolded Mrs. Turner and then called my Dad to come and pick me up. She was my protector from then on. I always felt safe at the school. She was always warm and kind, but told it like it was. She will be missed.
I did not know that Mary was her daughter and I find it wonderful that you held the same position as your mom. You were just as fantastic there and I always enjoyed talking to you too.

God Bless
