I am thankful that I was able to have Bob in my life for so many years..I have many, many happy memories of Bob and Joan from my childhood in ACT and young adulthood in MFT. I am grateful for his guidance and support in my career of working with kids who are struggling with mental illness. Bob and Joan helped me become the woman I am today. He was an amazing man who I will miss very, very much.

My condolences to his family. I work at Albert Art Center in the gift shop. Bob would come in for visits often, and we would have wonderful conversations. I will miss him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob at his art showing in March at the Albert Art Center. Even though I only knew him for a short period of time, he was so friendly that he made it feel like I'd known him all my life! I will mis him!

We are going to miss Bob so much, we loved seeing him on Friday and Sunday during the pigeon race season. Our boys thought a lot of Bob and had fun helping handle his birds. Bob will always be in our thoughts. The Jerdees: Jerred, Tammy, Ethan and Cole of Hayward, MN.

Joan:

You and Bob always appeared to be having fun no matter where I saw you. When you would find another "special" bird cage you were sure needed to go home with you, Bob would just smile.

We will all miss his slow smile and easy manner.

Take care of yourself and keep smiling.

Bob is one of the best memories of mine from the art center. He honored me with his friendship. What a kind and gentle humored man! He has contributed greatly and quietly!

Ann, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I was researching AL artists today, saw your dad and Harlan Bang had just had a show, so decided to see if he had a website so I could see more of his amazing work. Then, sadly saw that he had just passed away. I didn't know your dad had such wonderful talent. I wish I had known about the show in March, and would have tried to attend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Peggy Simonson Thompson
