Adeline Marie Biedermann, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on September 8, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she had been a resident for two and a half years. Prior to that she lived with her daughter Annette for 2 years in San Jose, California. She was born on October 25, 1930, and spent most of her life in Albert Lea, Minnesota, after being raised on a family farm near Alden with her sister, Inez.
Adeline will be remembered for her kind heart and a life filled with joy and purpose. She loved people and kept herself very busy with her passions for baking, gardening, and sewing. She loved to play games and was still playing dominoes, Kings Corners, and Cribbage right up to the end. She was a high school cheerleader and even at the age of 60, she could still do cartwheels. She and Arnold married in early 1951 just before he went into the army, and they spent the next two years in Port Townsend, Washington, a time she often spoke of as one of her favorite periods in life. Her greatest professional passion was her role as an activities coordinator at Saint John's. She absolutely loved the residents and continued to volunteer there long after her retirement. Adeline was a member of Concordia Lutheran then Ascension Lutheran and a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran. After Arnold died in 2010, she went on trips with her children to the Grand Canyon, Ireland, and other places. Her warm smile and gentle spirit were a comfort to all who knew her. Adeline loved to laugh and always had good things to say about people. She will be missed dearly.
Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Hensche; her loving husband, Arnold Biedermann, to whom she was married for almost 60 years; her children, Alan and Alayne Biedermann; and her sister, Inez Lutteke. She is survived by her children, Annette Walls (Andrew), Adele Legreid (Jerry), Anita Biedermann, and Angela Barberg (Bill); her daughter-in-law, Pat Biedermann; and her grandchildren, Aaron Walls, Adam Walls, Acacia Eaton, Christina Kane, Anissa Anderson, Derek Biedermann, Lauren Youmans, Russel Legreid, Brandon Hower, Brittney Hower, Adrienne Barberg, and Alec Barberg. She also leaves behind fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
