Bennett Lamar Goette

September 2, 1947 — April 26, 2005

Bennett Lamar Goette was born on September 2, 1947 in Manchester township the son of William and Alice Brandt Goette. He was raised in the Manchester/Hartland area and attended and graduated from Freeborn High School in 1965. In the early 1980's he was united in marriage to Sue Belsky and then on May 15, 1993 he married Winnie Broitzman in Glenville. Bennett served his country during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Korea. He was a professional truck driver. Bennett enjoyed carpentry, playing cards and "picking" on his grandchildren. He was a member of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Winnie, Albert Lea, children; Tara and husband Andy Nalepinski, Lancaster, WI, Amy and husband Scott Brandenburg, Brooklyn, WI., Kelli and husband Shane Dietrich, Austin and Brian Broitzman and special friend Aunde' Erlandson, Albert Lea. Grandchildren; Sami Jo, Cody, Alyssa, Meagan and Leah Dietrich, Trey and Nolan Brandenburg and Nicholas Nalepinski. Brothers, William and wife Lorraine Goette, Albert Lea, Chuck Goette, Oregon, sisters, Kathleen and husband Jim Peterson, Hartland and Margaret Bartness, Geneva. Sister-in-law, Patty Paulson, Hartland and nieces, nephews and cousins. Bennett was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Howard and granddaughter, Amanda Jo and brother-in-law; Jim Ferguson. Ben will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
