A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville, MN.
Colleen was born on July 11,1933, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Melvin and Della (Kleven) Westrum. She had four siblings: Orville, Lorne, Eldrith Lang & Vilma Johnson. She spent her formative years in Glenville, MN until 1967.
On October 19, 1951 she was married to Earl Cecil Wadding. They had four children together: Kelly, Kim, Kristie, and Kasey or the 4 K’s as she often referred. She divorced in 1975. She married again on July 17th, 1976 to Gerald Ingvaldson.
Colleen had many fine qualities one of which was making the finest (and we mean the best) lefsa in Freeborn County and quite possibly Minnesota. Her children were quite willing to lie, cheat and steal to get more than their fair share, down to the last piece. She also had the ability to make all the kids feel like her favorite even though we knew who the favorite was.
Colleen is survived by her children: Kelly (Special Friend Carole Bower) Wadding, Kim & Judy (Reiter) Wadding, Kristie (Kris Wadding) & Greg Hanson, and Kasey & Debra (Rains) Wadding: Her Grandchildren; Jared Wadding & Tamera Altemeier; Ellen Wright, Nicholas Wadding & Scott Wadding; Lucas Hanson & Sophia Claussen; Alicia Anderson, Kahleen Frisch, Grace Gray, Clair Wroten & Lillian DeBruyn: Her Great Grandchildren; Drew & Carter; Lexi & Chloe; Dylan, Drew & Faith; Carter & Evan; Henry; Bella & Nora; Lola & Lucy; Kyren & Arlo; Cecilia (Cec), George, Estella (Stella) & Harrison; Rosalie, Adelia (Della), Walter & Elliot; Oscar: Her Great Great Grandchildren; Charlotte; Isabella. And many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands: Earl Wadding and Gerald Ingvaldson; and her siblings.
Memorials are preferred (in lieu of flowers) to the St. John's Lutheran Community.
