Delbert Patrick Harris was born at Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls, Montana on July 4, 1941 to Patrick and Myrtle (Sevre) Harris. He grew up in Black Eagle, Montana. He attended Collins School Paris, Gibbon High School and graduated from Great Falls High School. After receiving his schooling, he joined the Navy where he was enlisted from 1961 to 1965. After his service Del worked as a golf caddie, a bus driver for Jefferson Line, a driver’s license instructor and an executive airline pilot for 3M. His last job was with the Minnesota Department of Transportation as an Investigator. He was united in marriage to Toni Prestegard. The couple lived in Albert Lea until the time of his death.
Del was a member of the Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping making jewelry and bird watching. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Toni of Albert Lea; daughters, Laura (Renee) Arguijo, Victoria Keller, Heather (Paul) Heinl; son, Joshua Prestegard; 9 grandkids; 2 great-grandkids; 2 nephews; 4 nieces; and special friend Shawn Rutter.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen K. Conway; son in law, Tom Keller.
