Donald R. Oliphant

Donald Richard Oliphant was born October 24, 1922, to Arthur and Pearl Williams Oliphant in Freeborn and grew up in Albert Lea. On October 5, 1941, he was united in marriage to Ardys Reed in Albert Lea. Donald worked for Wilson & Co. for 38 years, retiring in the early 1980s. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Eagles. Donald enjoyed golf and was an avid Packers and Yankees fan. He loved to have coffee with his friends at the "Donut Hut" and going to "Red Lobster." Survivors include his son, Richard and wife, Ann Oliphant of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Michael, Craig, & Laura; great-grandchildren: Nicole, Taylor, Shae, Bryn, Eric, Lainey, Ashley, and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ardys; brothers, Roy and Darrel; and sisters, Mayme and Gladys.
