Donna May Frondal

Donna May Frondal, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the St. Mary's Campus at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Per her wishes, no funeral services will be held.

Donna was born on July 22, 1957 in Austin, MN to Alfred and Clarice (Gleghorn) Johnson. She grew up in the Austin area but attended the New Richland High School. Following her schooling, she began working as an aide at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea where she worked for many years. Eventually Donna got married to the love of her life, Barry Frondal, and lived with him for the rest of her life.

Donna was a woman of many passions. She enjoyed reading and gardening, both flowers and vegetables. She loved spending time with her family, going camping, motorcycle rides, and watching old western shows. She dearly loved her family, including her special cat Bean.

She is survived by her husband Barry Frondal, sister Darlene (Gene) Timmerman, brothers Darrel (Lorna) Johnson and Donald (Diane) Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Clarice Johnson, brothers Dewayne and Dale, and nephew Christopher Lobb.

Donna will be sadly missed by everyone, both family and friends.
