Donna Jean Zeigler

Donna Zeigler, 86, of Lake Mills passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Hancock County Health System, Britt, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, Minnesota, with visitation starting at 1:00 pm on the day of the service. Pastor Steven Johnson will be officiating.

Donna was born on November 7, 1938 to Donald and Ruth Urban in Philo, Ohio. Growing up she attended school at Duncan Falls and Zanesville High School. She worked at Cummings Engine Company on the assembly line.

Donna was a loving mother and a caring friend. She was an excellent cook and her baked goods were frequently requested by family and friends. Donna loved the Lord and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. Her passion for gardening and growing flowers won her honors for “Yard of the Week” in Lake Mills. She enjoyed all types of crafts, and after retirement she liked to travel with her friends.

Donna is survived in death by her children Debra Feuring, Jonathan Jay (Melissa Vaughn) Thomas, David (Dawn) Thomas. Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jeremy (Jolene) Feuring, Jason Feuring, Jonathan Feuring, Jaydan Feuring, Jace Feuring, Ellie Feuring, Wyatt Vaughn, Dakota (Jonathan) Eggleston, Kaden Vaughn, Landon Vaughn, Andrew Vaughn, Bear Eggleston, Brittany (Andy Nelson) Thomas, Bradley Thomas, and Colter Nelson. Sisters: Becky Urban, Ruth (Jerry) Kaczmarek, Connie (Mike) Durham, Tammy Ware, and brother: Jessie (Liz) McHenry.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Ruth, sisters: Susan Pringle, Jeannine Davidson, and Kathryn Oxford, and brothers: William Urban and Terry Urban.
