Emily A. Bengtson

Emily Altine Bengtson was born October 9, 1912, to Edward, Sr. and Anna Runden Westland in Hayward Township. She was a lifelong resident of Freeborn County. On December 28, 1932, Emily was united in marriage to Hilmer Bengtson. She was a member of North Freeborn Lutheran Church and active in the women's organizations. Emily enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking, and crocheting. Survivors include her son, Keith and wife, Susy of rural Ellendale; grandchildren, Joe Omann of Bloomington and Cortney Omann of St. Cloud; sisters-in-law: Doris Westland, Carol Westland, Dorothy Westland, and Elsie Sundblad; and many nieces and nephews. Emily was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hilmer; brothers: Sherley, Carroll, Earl, LuVern, and Eddie, Jr.; and a sister, Mildred, in infancy.
