Everett "JR" Hall

Everett “JR” Hall, 63, passed away on September 15, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. A celebration of JR's life will be held at a later date in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

JR was born on September 19, 1962, in Thayer, Missouri, to Everett Riley Hall and Ellen Marie (Morgan) Hall. He grew up in West Plains, Missouri, where he attended West Plains Public Schools and West Plains High School.

JR was always smiling and bringing joy to those around him. He was a hard-working man who knew how to enjoy life. His smile and the memories he made with family and friends will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Debrina (Thomas) of Keene, Texas; three grandchildren, Ray Newton (Shelby), Sabrina Newton, and M.J. Tuerk; and one great-granddaughter, Amory Newton, all of Texas.

He is also survived by his four sisters, Connie (Mike) Fisher of Midlothian, Texas; Patti Smith of Superior, Wisconsin; Eva (Matt) Smith of Bakersfield, California; and Carol (Sam) Farmer of Huntsville, Alabama. He is also remembered by his dear friend of 40 years, Troy Chavez, who was like a brother to him, and his wife, Natilie, of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

JR leaves behind five nieces, seven nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He is also survived by his aunts, Norma (Hall) Hilburn and Ruby (Lung) Hall; his uncle, Bobby Brazeal, all of West Plains, Missouri; and many cousins from the Hall and Morgan families.

JR was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ellen (Morgan) Hall; his brothers, Melvin Hall and Raymond Hall; his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Ora (Brower) Hall; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Clara (Huff) Morgan; and great-nieces, Megan Dodd and Julia Hunter, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Hall and Morgan families.
