Gordon James Peterson

Gordon James Peterson, 64 passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Good Samaritan campus in Albert Lea, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the North Blue Earth Lutheran Church in rural Bricelyn, MN. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Peg Marose will be officiating.

Gordon was born on October 20, 1960 to James and Esther Peterson in Albert Lea, MN. Gordon worked as a line operator for General Mills, and also worked for Fleetguard in Lake Mills. In his free time he loved to garden, going to Diamond Joes to play the slots (he loved winning the jackpot!), and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Gordy had a huge heart; his family and friends meant the world to him. With his very special smile and a twinkle in his eyes, he could light up any room. He loved going to lunch with his brother and sister and cherished his outings with his friend Bob.

Gordon is survived by his sister Bonnie (Todd) Thompson; brother Arden Peterson; his special friends Bob Voges, Lori Godtland, and Kim Nesset; along with several nieces, nephews and aunts.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents James and Esther Peterson; sisters Gloria VonHagen, Linda Sanden; and brother Dennis (Pete) Peterson.
