Jackie died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 surrounded by her family at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Albert Lea after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer for almost 15 years.

Jackie Lynn (Bentzin) Williamson was born on Nov. 27, 1959 in Austin, MN, the youngest of Lowell and Irene (Bagley) Bentzin’s seven children.  She graduated from Austin High School in 1978 and attended college for a short time.  Jackie was united in marriage to Brad Williamson on Oct. 15, 1983 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, MN.  She was a loan officer for the City and County Employees Federal Credit Union for 25½ years.  Jackie enjoyed photography, music, traveling, playing piano, going for walks and taking care of her flowers.  In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and playing a lot of softball (with her softball team going to Nationals in 1987).  Her most treasured times were spending time with her family, friends, “fur baby” Bella and “granddog” Teddy.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings.  Jackie was involved with all her daughters’ and grandchildren’s school and sporting activities and also served on the church scholarship committee.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Brad Williamson; daughters, Lacey (Jace) DeBoer, Katie Williamson, Lisa (Rob) Jensen; grandchildren, Zoie and Aiden; mother-in-law, Joanne Williamson; sisters, Linda (Mike) Linehan, Kathy (Chip) Grey, Betty Jean (David) Wytaske, Candy (Mike) Rector, and Rosanne Esse; brother-in-law, Bernie (Sandy) Williamson; sisters-in-law, Julie (Tom) DeBoer, Jamie (Kim) Mollberg; and several nieces and nephews.

Willie,
I'm so sorry to hear about Jackie's passing. She was always special in my heart. She will definitely be remembered for her genuine love and respect that she had for people. I always felt accepting around her. I enjoyed her being around the guys at the softball fields. She really loved you and supported you in so many ways. She will definitely be missed.
The scriptures say, "to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord." She'll be hanging out with Jesus for a brief time before we see her again. Willie, I love you and am morning with you. I'll keep you in prayer. I have my grandchildren with me on Thursday so I don't think I'll be able to make it down but my heart is with you. Kim & Tim (Hack) :)

Brad, Lacey, Katie and Lisa,
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Jackie. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. Many hours were spent chatting in the bleachers, watching the girls dance and figure skate, Jackie always with a quick smile and conversation. I am glad her struggle on this earth is over but saddened for the loss of such a beautiful soul. Jeff and I are sending healing prayers and Lotts of comforting hugs your way!
