Jerome died surrounded by family at his home on Friday, November 22, 2019.

Jerome Cletus Ahles was born on February 14, 1951 in Austin, MN to Jerome and Cleo (Hansen) Ahles. He grew up in Austin and was active in wrestling and football through high school. Jerome graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State University. On August 8, 1981, he married Barbara Struwe in Grand Meadow, MN. Jerome enjoyed being grandpa, riding motorcycle, and helping family and friends. He also liked to listen to music and work on cars and bikes. Some of his hobbies include gardening and growing sunflowers.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Barb; children, Wes Ahles, Patti (Eric) Rolfing, and Dylan (Carrie) Ahles; grandchildren, Justin Mortensen, Rose and Lily Rolfing, and Brynlee Ahles; and sisters, Toni Granle, and Becky (Dale) Anderson.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Cleo; and mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Bev Struwe.
