Jerome Salveson

Jerome Salveson, 86, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home at 11AM. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service. Pastor Kent Otterman will be officiating.

Jerome was born October 19, 1937 in Lake Mills, Iowa to Selmer and Mary Salveson. He attended school at Lake Mills and after graduating from Lake Mills High School, he joined the Army, serving from 1957 to 1960.   Afterwards, he joined the workforce, working as a managing custodian at the Northbridge mall for many years. He married Anita and from their union came two beautiful children.

He was a real people person and loved interacting with visitors to the mall. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, eagles, eating McDonalds, and going to the lake.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Allen) Vonhagen, sister Floy Dollerschell, grandchildren Jessica and Jordan, great grandchildren Keegan and Kyler, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Anita, son Mark Salveson, and brother Clayton.
