Kathryn Marie Reyerson

Kathryn (Kathy/ Kat) Marie Reyerson passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026 at the Mayo Hospital in Rochester, MN with her daughter by her side. A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN, with a visitation held an hour prior to the service. Pastor Don Malinsky will be officiating.

Kathy was born to Myrna and Donald Giles in Albert Lea, MN on April 15, 1957.

Kathy had two children, Travis Lawson and Amy Miller (Foran). She loved fiercely and had an incredible bond with her 3 grandchildren. Telling them often she was going to “ziebert” them or “bop em” in the nose. Of all the names she had ever been called, Nana was definitely her favorite. She had a gypsy heart and longed to see and do all the things. She had planned the adventure of a lifetime and was set to venture forth next month. She wanted to touch the ocean on the California coast, see the redwood trees and swim with dolphins. She was so excited for that journey. She loved wildflowers and incense, animals and nature. She was a hippie through and through.

Left to keep her memory alive are her children Amy and Ryan Miller and Travis Lawson. Her grandchildren and loves of her life DeAngelo Newson, Khiera Miller and Oliver Miller. Mother Myrna Giles, brothers Robert and Michael Giles, sisters Martha Carmichael and Donna Giles, special cousin Sue Young, and her tiny pup LuLu.

She is proceeded in death by her father Donald Giles, stepmother Marilyn Giles, brother Frank Giles, sister-in-law Iris Giles. Very best friends Eunice Bolinger and Cami Lawson Kussatz.

She would say to take the trips and do all the things, life is so short and should be lived. We will forever miss her voice, encouragement and hugs. I can hear her now saying "Just breathe Babygirl". Give the hugs say I love you, you just never know when it will be the last time.
