Lila M. Houg

Lila Marguerite Houg was born May 29, 1908, to Fred and Hattie Schutz Towne in Glenville. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. On June 4, 1927, Lila was united in marriage to Merton P. Houg in Glenville. She had lived in the Glenville area her entire life. Lila was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Glenville, Miriam Circle and the Willing Worker's Sewing Club. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, and reading. Survivors include her sons: Harold and his wife, Nancy, Kenneth and his wife, Janice, Myron and his wife, Shirley, and Herbert and his wife, Patricia, all of Albert Lea; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Merton; baby granddaughter, Amy Houg; 2 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Jessica Budach; brother, Al Towne; and sister, Helen Koehn.
