Lillian A. Raines

August 11, 1917 — June 13, 2005

Lillian Annalene Raines was born August 11, 1917, to Oscar and Bessie Olin Engman in St. Paul. She graduated from the Faribault School for the Deaf as Valedictorian in 1934. In April 1941, Lillian was united in marriage to Lionel E. Raines, Sr. She raised her seven children with love and the help of her Lord and Savior. Lillian had lived in Albert Lea for the last nine years. Survivors include her children: Judy and husband, Harold Kinney of Albert Lea, Betty and husband, Richard Dreyling of South St. Paul, Anita and husband, Gordy Nybeck of West St. Paul, and Bethann and husband, Larry Strenke of South St. Paul; son-in-law, Ronald Radke of Clarks Grove; 23 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and niece, Karen Bjorstron of Colorado. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; daughters: Seanne Lee Raines, Nola and husband, Bill Bennett, and Dorothy Jean Radke; son, Lionel Edward Raines, Jr.; grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Dreyling, age 5, and Sven Levine; sister, Violet and husband, Arnie Ritzel; brothers, William and wife, Loretta Engman and Leonard and wife, Maxine Engman; nephews, William Engman, Jr. and Ken Ritzel; and son-in-law, Kenneth Dreyling Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
