Linda Rae Morgan

Memorial services for Linda Rae Morgan, age 70, of Waseca, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.  Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at West Freeborn Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Linda’s life ended early Tuesday morning, as she passed away peacefully at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Linda Rae Morgan was born February 15, 1947 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the daughter of Theodore and Mirre (Hillman) Gilbertson.  She attended school in Alden and Freeborn.  Linda worked in agriculture, Super America, Naeve Hospital, and managed various retail stores.  She enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, gardening, decorating her home for each season, and caring for her dog and cats.  She loved all things nature and birdwatching. On June 30, 1990, Linda was united in marriage to Gerald R. Morgan in Waseca.  She was a member of West Freeborn Lutheran Church and had many fond memories of her friends and activities there.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gerald R. Morgan; children, Brenda (Greg) Moyer and Rob (Laurie) Abbe; step-children, Kelly (Frank) Dorpinghaus, Michael Morgan, and Jackson Morgan; grandchildren, Angeline (Jeremy) Borglum, Aurielle Moyer, Ethan and Emily Abbe, and Tyler Morgan; great-grandchild, Auroara; siblings, Dennis (Pam) Gilbertson and Roxanne (Duane) Mallon; sisters-in-law, Vicki Sanvik, Margaret Rogge, and Judy Gilbertson; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Allen Gilbertson, Bob Rogge, and Lloyd Gilbertson.
