In Loving Memory of Linda Alice (Dugan) Olson
Linda Alice Olson, age 77, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday May 23, 2026 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the Celebration of Life. Inurnment will take place on May 24, 2026, at Highland Home Cemetery in Hadley, Minnesota.
Linda was born on August 27, 1948, to Jerome and Alice Dugan in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from high school in 1966. She went on to attend college in Mankato, where she met the love of her life, Dave Olson. Linda later earned her bachelor’s degree from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota.
Linda and Dave were united in marriage on October 25, 1968, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, laughter, and devotion. After their marriage, they lived in Albert Lea and Bemidji before settling in Kandiyohi, Minnesota, where they raised their three children—Tim, Jon, and Dana—from 1975 to 1994. The family later moved to Marshall and then to the family farm near Hadley, Minnesota. In their later years, Linda and Dave relocated to Gilbert, Arizona.
Linda will be remembered for her deep love of family, her joy in cooking and traveling, and her warm, infectious laugh that could light up any room. She had a special gift for connecting with others. Linda lived her life as a reflection of her caring nature and the relationships she built along the way.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dave Olson of Gilbert, Arizona; her sons, Tim Olson of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and Jon Olson of Los Angeles, California; her grandson, Dayton Schultz of Gilbert, Arizona; her sister, Peggy Moller of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; and her brother, Steve Dugan of Albert Lea, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Dana Schultz; her parents, Jerome and Alice Dugan; her brother, Tom Dugan; and her nephew, Joe Putrino.
