Lois Ann Ziebell, age 91, of Glenville, MN passed away on March 4, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in rural Myrtle with interment at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service. Pastor Karen Peterson will be officiating.

Lois was born on February 14, 1935 to William and Stella (Ness) Rindels of Spring Valley, MN. She attended country school through the 8th grade and graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1952. After high school, Lois moved to Austin to work at Home Federal Savings for two years.

Lois met her future husband, Fred Ziebell, at the Term Ballroom in Austin. On September 18, 1954 they were married at Bloomfield Lutheran church in rural Ostrander, MN.

They farmed in the Glenville, MN area for over 50 years. From this union, three children were born: Debra, Ruth, and Rodney.

Lois’s hobbies were embroidery, cross stitching, knitting, crocheting, and, in later years, word search books. She also enjoyed helping Fred with woodworking projects. She belonged to Circle and ALC for many years as well as helping with quilting projects at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Lois and Fred belonged to the Grapevine Twist square dance club for 20 years, traveling the area and going to dances. She also enjoyed playing cards and was always open to get a game going. They were part of a 500 card club for many years. Lois enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning or freezing produce, and was always helping with chores around the farm.

She is survived by her children Debbie (Randy) Mullenbach and Ruth (Mark) Schammel; daughter-in-law Mary Ziebell; 6 grandchildren Brian Mullenbach, Angie (Mitch) Frieden, Brianne (Steve) Vogt, Sarah (Donnie) Backner, Matt (Miranda) Ziebell, and Katie (Andrew) Simmons; 12 great-grandchildren Carson, Madison, Norah, Olivia, Amelia, Madelyn, Andy, Emily, Elizabeth, Thomas, Lucy, and Emily; brother Larry (Sandy) Rindels; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Surviving sisters-in-law include Francis (Keith) Olson, Virginia Knight, and Karen Ziebell. Surviving brothers-in-law include Lavern Ziebell and David (Patsy) Ziebell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; beloved husband of 62 years Fred (April 2017); son Rodney (2026); brothers-in-law George Ziebell, Lawrence Ziebell, Ron Knight, Burton Churchill, Dean Paape, and Virgil Dempewolf; and sisters-in-law Elaine Ziebell, Irene Paape, Marie Dempewolf, and Beverly Ziebell.
