Patricia Ann Horning

Patricia Ann Horning, age 66, passed away September 9, 2025. A funeral service will be held 2 PM on Monday, September 29 at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Patricia Horning was born June 22, 1959, to Donald and Mavis (Wikoren) Horning in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She grew up in Albert Lea and was a Brownie in elementary school and a member of 4-H in high school. Patricia was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea in 1977. Her fondest childhood memories included growing up on the farm, 4-H projects with her grandmother and fighting in the yard with her brothers. She was a member of Rebeccah, a female version of the Masons. In 1977, Patricia graduated from Northwood Kensett. Later that year, she was united in marriage to Craig Naugle. From this union, two children, April and Jeremy were born. She later married Randall Devens in 1987. The couple had three children, Nicholas Wayne, Joseph William and Mark Adam. In the last 15 years of her life, worked as a direct health care staff for developmentally disabled individuals. She was blessed to help her dad and brother, Rick.

Patricia is survived by her children April (Naugle) Cook, Jeremy Naugle, Nicholas Devens, Marc Devens; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; special niece and nephew Cece and Trevor; many other nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ed.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joseph; parents Donald and Mavis Horning; grandparents, Clarence and Ruth Horning; siblings, Diane, Marc and Rick.

Patricia wished to give special thanks to her neighbors, Becca and Arnie, for their kindess and support; Uncle Dave and Aunt Lorraine for always making her day brighter; Aunts Rosanne and Fleda for walking with her; her sister; her nieces, Christon Smith and; nephew, Chad Horning; niece, Cece and nephew, Trevor.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Patricia at Glenville Park at 5 PM following the burial services. This will be a potluck please feel free but not obligated to bring a dish! Everyone is Welcome! In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
