Rose Pauline Perteet

Rose Pauline (Miller) Perteet age 87, of Albert Lea, formerly of Montgomery, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at her home.

Rose was born on May 7, 1937, to William Henry and Mary Ann (Holicky) Miller in Montgomery. She was raised on a farm in Kilkenny Township, where she attended a one room schoolhouse from 1st-6th grade at District 123 in Rice Count. Rose graduated from Montgomery High School in 1955. She continued her education at Commercial College in Mankato and after graduating with an administrative degree she moved to Albert Lea. In 1978, Rose was united in marriage to LeRoy Perteet and together spent only two years of marriage before Le Roy passed away in 1980. Rose worked for many years at Wilsons until they closed. Rose then worked with various organizations to help people with disabilities until she retired.

Rose is survived by her sister, Gloria Trcka (deceased 7/2/2025); brother, Robert Miller (deceased 5/16/2025); sisters-in-law: Marilyn Miller (deceased 2/23/2025), Mary Jane Miller and Barbara Miller; 11 nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Perteet; brothers: William Miller, Eldred Miller, Carlton Miller; and nephew, Todd Allen Trcka.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Monday, July 21, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery along with her sister, Gloria May (Miller) Trcka, who passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.
