Sandra Kay Rahn, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Albert Lea, Minnesota, on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Sandra was born on October 12, 1947, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Carl and Ada Johnson. She grew up on the east side of St. Paul and graduated from Harding High School. Throughout her career, she worked as a payroll specialist until her retirement in 1999.
Sandra had a creative and active spirit. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, board games, diamond art, playing on her computer and painting ceramics. She loved watching musicals and visiting zoos. In her 40s, she took up golfing and found great joy in the game. While living in Virginia, she owned a horse farm and raised chickens. In 2006, she returned to Minnesota and opened Country Charm Ceramics, sharing her passion and talent with others. She cherished spending time outdoors. Above all, Sandra treasured the time she spent with her family.
Sandra lived a life rooted in service and kindness, always helping others. She held a special place in her heart for Alaska and dreamed of returning there one day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; two children lost in infancy; her parents, Carl and Ada Johnson; her brother, Gerald Johnson; her sister, Carole Toth; and countless family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee Weston of Albert Lea; her grandson, Michael (Ellie) Stuman of Pepin, WI; granddaughter, Aaliyah Weston of Albert Lea; and her great-grandchildren, Levi Weston, Ava Weston, and Delilah Stuman; sister Barbara (Richard) Rode of Ellenton, FL, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Croix Hospice for the compassionate and exceptional care they provided to Sandra and her loved ones.
