Tamera Jensen-Praska

Funeral services for Tamera Jensen-Praska, age 45, of Hollandale, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.  Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Tammy died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her home.

Tamera Denise Jensen-Praska was born on June 6, 1971 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Gary Lee Jensen and Sandra Lang.  She grew up in Albert Lea and surrounding areas. She attended Albert Lea High School.  Tammy took on the role of being a mother to her five children.  She was united in marriage to Donald Praska on Nov. 21, 1995 in Albert Lea.  They made their home in Clarks Grove and the surrounding area. Tammy was proud of her accomplishments at work while managing servers and hosts at local restaurants, becoming a CNA, and attending nursing school. Tammy had a strong faith and was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching Peace & Power on Sunday mornings. She was a very loving person, always giving from the heart.  Tammy enjoyed traveling, most recently to Arizona, and had hoped to go to Texas with her husband.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Donnie Praska; children, Ashley Olson, Derek Praska, Joie Roberts, and Brandon (Miki Saltou) Roberts; special nephew, Mitchell Anderson; grandchildren: Quinzey, Jazzmine, Zoie, and Paisley; Mykkal, Lilyahna, and their mother Leah Chamberlain; Nevaeh Jo and Evalynn; mother, Sandra (Richard) Lestrud; siblings, Kathy Talamantes-Bringener, Brenda Wyant, Troy (Amy) Jensen, and Chad Jensen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Gary Lee Jensen; daughter, Christa Lynn Moffit; granddaughter, Christa Lynn Roberts; brother, Michael Shawn Anderson; and her grandparents.
