In Loving Memory of Tom Dziura April 24, 1960– September 27, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Dziura, beloved father, grandpa, brother, and son.
Tom had a heart big enough to care about everyone he met and a sense of humor goofy enough to wear a Looney Tunes tie and pull it off.
Tom was born to Kazimierz (Casey) and Sylvia Dziura in Wells, MN. He grew up and graduated from Albert Lea Central High School in 1978. He then continued his education at Mankato State earning a Bachelor’s degree in social work and later a Masters degree. In 1990 Tom married Nadynne Finsaas in Lewistown, MT and had their daughter Angela while working as a school social worker in Elk River, MN.
After retirement, he moved back to Albert Lea and could be found treasure-hunting at garage sales, golfing, fishing or driving his slingshot around town. But his favorite activity of all was spending time with his 4 grandchildren. He left them with so many memories of playing catch, coloring, fishing, golf cart rides and telling silly jokes together.
He leaves behind his daughter Angela Patrick, son-in-law Nic and grandchildren Max, Remi, Willa and Brock. His mother Sylvia Dziura, brother John Dziura (Julie), sister Therese Clausen (Dan), brother Dennis Dziura (Lori), and many nieces and nephews. They will miss his corny jokes, warm hugs, and the unique way he could make any room feel lighter just by entering it.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on October 10th from 4-6 at Edgewater Bay Pavilion. In honor of his memory, attendees are encouraged to wear their goofiest tie or t-shirt— just the way he would have wanted it.
