Thomas Miller was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 28, 1935. At the age of 18, he joined the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) through the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) as a Civil Service Mariner, commonly known as a Merchant Marine. Thomas took pride in serving his country, working in the engine room and supplying oil and gas to tankers and ships. During his time in the Navy, he traveled to many ports and countries until health issues forced him to retire.

After retiring, Thomas moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to be closer to his children. While living there, he enjoyed selling Hard Rock Café memorabilia on eBay and attending various conventions. In his final years, he spent time with his daughter and son in Minnesota. He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and will miss him every day.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Hathaway; his daughter, Roni Crim; his brother, Joe Miller; and his nephew, Joe Miller Jr.

Thomas is survived by his children: Tom Bock, Tammy Martz (special friend, David Matz), and Thomas Miller, Jr.; sisters Rori Roberts and Betty Miller; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; extended family members; and friends.
