Listen to Obituary

Todd Edward Streckert, age 64, received his ultimate healing from Glioblastoma brain cancer, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea, MN. While our hearts are devastated, we have peace from the precious promises of God's Word.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at the Connect Point United Pentecostal Church, 21441 Marble Rd, Eagle Lake, MN. 56024. Visitation will be held at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea, MN. from 5-7PM on Monday, March 30, 2026 and for an hour prior to the service at the church. Pastors Jeremy Cox and John Braam will be officiating.

Todd was born on December 12, 1961 to Edward and Janice (Behnke) Streckert in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Todd grew up and worked on the family dairy farm. Todd graduated from Valders High School in 1980, where he played basketball and was a drummer in the band. He earned his Bachelor of Agriculture from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1984. After college, he spent his career working quality control in food processing plants. He was employed as a Quality Control and Safety Manager at Lund Food Holdings until September 30, 2025 when his illness inhibited his ability to work.

On March 19, 2005, during a blizzard, he married the love of his life, Rhonda Hinkle, who he affectionately called Kid. As their worlds blended, they introduced each other to their personal heritages. He shared his love for polka, lutefisk, lefse, squeaky cheese, Lake Michigan and the Packers. She taught him all things southern, sweet tea, catfish, fried pickles, and Elvis. From their union came two loving sons to carry on the Streckert family name.

Although he was a man of few words, he appreciated quality time with family and friends. His relationship with God was paramount in his life. He enjoyed hiking, visiting state parks, photography and was an avid reader. He was Wisconsin to the core, a loyal Packers, Brewers, and Badgers fan.

But most of all, he was a proud father. He loved and mentored his boys until the very end.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, sons, Erik and Jonathan all of the home, mother, Janice Streckert, Manitowoc, WI, sisters, Sari (Ron) Saubert, Two Rivers, WI, and Shelly Streckert, (Oscar), Menasha, WI. Father and mother in law, Leon and Linda Hinkle, Doniphan, MO, brother in law, Steven Hinkle, Doniphan, MO, sister in law, Shelly (David) Parks, Fairdealing, MO, as well as nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Todd is preceded in death by an infant brother, his father, Edward Streckert and his great niece, Amelia Rose Vissers.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Mercy One Cancer Center of North Iowa, Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea, and St. Croix Hospice for being exceptional providers and caregivers.

And a huge thank you to our Connect Point Church family! We could not have walked this journey without your love, support, and prayers.
