Virginia Lee Nagel was born July 27, 1938 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Edmond and Shirley (Jenson) Conn. She grew up in Alden, attending Alden schools. Virginia’s union with Wyeth Nagel gave them three daughters. Virginia worked in the office at Interstate Power for over 30 years. She was raised in the Alden United Methodist Church and then joined Round Prairie Lutheran Church of rural Glenville where she served as Church Secretary. She enjoyed reading, baking, flower gardening, watching and feeding birds, and decorating. Virginia was a “walking history book” and liked to share history and connections with so many family and friends. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, hosting get-togethers or entertaining for any reason. Virginia volunteered with March of Dimes, Round Prairie Lutheran Church, Greenwood Cemetery, 4-H, and Glenville School events. She was an active volunteer and supporter of community cancer fundraising events and activities.
