Wanda Lee Helling

A gathering of family and friends of Wanda Helling, age 75, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Senior Court, 915 Maplehill Drive, in Albert Lea.  

Lee died Monday, February 22, 2016 at her home.

Lee Wanda Helling was born January 20, 1941 in Rice County, the daughter of Francis and Dorothy (Christensen) Wilde.  She grew up on a farm near Faribault and later graduated from Edina High School.  Lee was a country music singer in her youth.  She worked as a payroll accountant at Rupp Industries.  Lee was a member of the Eagles and the Faribault Historical Society.

Survivors include sons, Ron (Valerie) St. Martin and (Rusty) Lawrence St. Martin; mother, Dorothy Wilde; brother, Jim (Cheryl) Wilde; grandchildren, Brooke St. Martin, Asberry Thoreson, Dustin Meier St. Martin, Tiffini McCloskey, Elliott Washington, Alexander Washington, Mariah Dresser, and Matthew St. Martin; and great-granddaughter Elayna Torres along with many other great-grandchildren.

Lee was preceded in death by her father and one sister.
