Vernon D Johnson

Funeral services for Vernon D. Johnson, age 89, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.  Rev. Vernon Donald Johnson died on December 5, 2019 at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna, MN.

Vern grew up with is grandmother in Kensett, IA. After she passed away, he moved in with his brother John and together they farmed hogs in Clarks Grove, MN. He then moved to Just Like Home in Albert Lea. In April of 2019, he moved to Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna. Vern enjoyed spending his time working on the farm.

Vern is survived by his brothers, John Johnson, and Dennis (Verna) Johnson; and a sister, Gretchen Hipp.

Vern was preceded in death by sisters, Maxine Johnson, and Gale De Foe; and parents, George and Alma Johnson.
