Aww...the twinkle in your eyes...the gracious love you shared with our little family...your stories...the impact the two of you had on all of us. You showed us what love REALLY looks like. We listened as you shared your journey, tried to model our marriage in the same way. The two of you own a piece of our hearts forever. What a blessing the two of you were to SO many.

Phinney Family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of both your parents.  They both were so very kind and I enjoyed talking with both of them when they came to visit the Courthouse employees here in Custer.

Kenny and Shirley were good friends of my folks.  When my brother Allen was born during the blizzard of 1949 at home and problems occurred, Kenny was right there to donate blood vein to vein at St. John's Hospital to save Allen's life.  They were always "family" to us grown up in Cleghorn Canyon west of Rapid City, SD.   I am sure they are together again with Mom and Dad and no doubt playing cards.

So sorry to read in the Rapid City Journal of the passing of both Ken and Shirley. Barb and I knew them when we lived in Custer through the 90's. I worked closely with Ken when we were both in Lions. They were a wonderful and faithful and devoted couple. I'm sorry I never met any of their children. I have a request of the family:  could you email me when burial is planned at fort Meade?  I live nearby and would very much like to attend if possible. God bless all the Phinney family.  Todd Phillipe Summerset SD.

As a daughter to Vance and Marian Stoneback, I have nothing but fine memories of both of your parents.  I am so sorry about your loss. They were such dear people and lived life well.  Like Amy, I know they are rejoicing with our Lord and so many loved ones, like my folks.  Sincerest sympathy....Sue and Keith

We are so sorry to hear of your father's death. He was always such a cheerful man. Actually he reminded me of my own dad. Almost always upbeat and his faith was always a big part of his life as it was with your Dad. I'm sorry Aunt Shirley can't be more of a part of the celebration of his life. She is such a dear woman. Condolences to all of you.

Phinney Family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of both your parents! They were so very special to me! I still have so many of the Christmas ornaments that Shirley gave me as a child. Their love was special and true and I know that all of our parents are rejoicing in their time together in heaven! See you soon!
